Greater New Haven Warriors Developmental & House Programs
First Strides replaces our traditional Learn-to-Skate program and provides aspiring players between the ages of 3-10 with the opportunity to take their "first strides" in developing an interest in hockey. Lessons take place three weekends in the Fall and is open to players without any prior skating/hockey experience.
The Warriors clinics are designed for players who have completed our First Strides program or a Learn-to-Skate program who are interested in learning the fundamentals of how to play hockey. Players must supply their own equipment and are required to wear full hockey gear.
Session I runs on weekends from October through December (excluding holidays). Session II runs on weekends from Janaury through February.
The Mite development program is designed for players making the transition from Learn-to-Play to more team-oriented play as well as returning players who wish to continue their individual and team skills development. Individual skills will continue to be stressed along with the introduction of team concepts and positioning. There will be a minimum of four teams competing in both cross-ice games. Play will take place three times a week from September through February culminating with our annual in house Patrick Cup tournament. Full equipment is required.
