Warriors Learn To Play Clinic Registration Now Open
LEARN-TO-PLAY HOCKEY CLINIC REGISTRATION OPEN Fall program runs for nine weeks!
The Warriors Learn-to-Play Hockey clinic is a preparatory program designed to teach new and returning players 4-10 years old proper skating and introductory hockey skills. This program is for players who have recently completed the Warriors Fall or Winter Learn-to-Play Hockey or similar program and want to advance to the next step in learning the game of hockey. It consists of 18, one hour sessions at the Northford Ice Pavilion.
Equipment: Full equipment is required. Discounted equipment packages are available from Hamden Sports on Whitney Ave. in Hamden. Players will receive a Warriors jersey.
Fall Clinic begins on October 17th and ends on December 20th.
Note:All sessions are held at Northford Ice Pavilion on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Each session runs 60:00.

Cost:$425 (there is also a $47.50 USA Hockey Registration fee for players 6 and older if you are new to the program.
Registration is open for First Strides, Connecticut’s Premier FREE Learn-to-Skate program developed by the Greater New Haven Warriors. The program provides aspiring players between the ages of 4-10 the opportunity to take their "first strides" in developing an interest in ice hockey. Emphasis is placed on the very basics of skating within a safe and fun environment. It is designed for first-time skaters only please. Players who have previously participated in First Strides or another Learn-to-Skate program should register for the Warriors Learn-to-Play Hockey clinics.
Note: There is no cost to participate or use the loaner equipment (see equipment section below). All players must register with USA Hockey.
Equipment: We no longer have loaner equipment available.Please indicate if you will be borrowing equipment or using your own when you register. Players will receive a helmet with full face guard, hockey gloves and hockey skates. We also recommend that players wear shin guards and elbow pads. Discounted equipment packages are available in the rink pro shop, HockeyGear.com if you wish to purchase your own equipment.

MITE DEVELOPMENT TEAMS NOW FORMING FOR 2015-16 SEASON!
Registration Open to Boys & Girls 8 & Under and Select 9 & 10 Year Olds*
Registration for the Warriors Mite Development teams is now open. The Mite Development teams are designed for boys and girls making the transition from a learn-to-play hockey clinic to more team-oriented play as well as returning players who wish to continue their individual and team skills development. Players must be able to skate forward, backwards and stop to participate.
Four teams, the Nighthawks, Blades, Eagles and Tomahawks, all named after former New Haven minor pro teams, will play a 21-game regular season schedule of half-ice games against each other as well as other local organizations. The season will culminate in a two game playoff for the Patrick Cup (named after league founders Lynn and Lester Patrick). The teams also participate in a Holiday Jamboree.
The Warriors Mite Development half-ice format conditions and improves all aspects of a player’s game, including skating, stick handling, shooting and more importantly, their reaction time in a safe and fun environment. There are no tryouts. Players will be evaluated at the beginning of the season to ensure a competitive balance between teams.
Play takes place three times a week, Tuesday, Saturday & Sunday beginning Tuesday, September 8th and continues through February 28, 2016 (24 weeks/66 sessions) excluding Columbus Day weekend & Christmas.
