This year, the Greater New Haven Warriors Youth Hockey League decided to donate toys to the children at the Milford Boys and Girls Club and Toys for Tots through the help of WTNH Gr8 Holiday Give. For two weeks, the Travel teams and Mite Development participated in a friendly competition to see which team would donate the most presents. The teams donated over 150 toys. The Bantam A team donated 35 toys, which was the most of any team. Additionally, for his birthday, a Mite Development player asked all of his friends to donate a toy to the cause in lieu of birthday gifts. On Thursday, December 13, WTNH highlighted the GNH Warriors players and their giving spirit on the 6 o’clock news. Appreciation goes out to the parent managers, who helped communicate this great event to our families. Abundant gratitude to all the families that contributed. It was great to see the Warriors' families come together, and donate this time of year to families less fortunate.
