Opening Night 2017 at the Northford Ice Pavilion is a celebration for the players and their families that make our organization great. We hope that you will skate with us on the ice or hang out in the newly remodeled office Thursday evening.
This invitation is open to all registered 2017-2018 players from all levels and their families.
Please remember to wear your helmet. If you need to rent skates, the rink will have them available.
Pizza, snacks, and refreshments will be served.
We will have trivia prizes and giveaways.
The Pro Shop is offering a 20% discount for that evening to all Warrior families.
Mark your calendars, sharpen your skates, and charge your cameras because you won’t want to miss out on all of the fun!
Registration is open for First Strides, Connecticut’s Premier FREE Learn-to-Skate program developed by the Greater New Haven Warriors. The program provides aspiring players between the ages of 4-10 the opportunity to take their "first strides" in developing an interest in ice hockey. Emphasis is placed on the very basics of skating within a safe and fun environment. It is designed for kids interested in learning to skate as a basis to learn to play hockey.
Note: There is no cost to participate or use the loaner equipment (see equipment section below). All players must register with USA Hockey. There is a minimum cost to register for USA Hockey for players 7 and older.
Equipment: We have a limited amount of loaner equipment available on a first come, first served basis. Please indicate if you will be borrowing equipment or using your own when you register. Players will receive a helmet with full face guard, hockey gloves and hockey skates. We also recommend that players wear shin guards and elbow pads. Discounted equipment packages are available in the rink pro shop or at Hamden Sports Center if you wish to purchase your own equipment.
Fall 2017 Schedule (Times TBD):
Saturday September 23rd
Sunday September 24th
Saturday September 30th
Sunday October 1st
Note: All sessions will take place at the Northford Ice Pavilion and last 60:00. A second session will immediately follow the first in order to maintain a proper instructor/player ratio.
